Charleston Magazine has found a new home at The Manahan Group.  TMG, which has produced Charleston Magazine since the Spring 2005 issue, will take ownership of the publication beginning with the Fall 2006 issue.

 

“We are very happy to be the magazine’s new publishers,” said George Manahan, CEO of The Manahan Group. “We are committed to the continued good stewardship of this community asset.”

 

Yeager Airport purchased the magazine in late 2004, and hired The Manahan Group to produce it.  “We take very seriously the dedication Yeager and the City of Charleston have to keep the magazine independent, reader-focused and of service to the entire Kanawha Valley. We look forward to keeping that tradition alive,” Manahan said.

 

The Manahan Group plans to increase the magazine’s already-impressive distribution.  Charleston Magazine is on newsstands now and can be found at retailers like Kroger, Taylor Books and Showcase West Virginia, among others. The magazine’s distribution at Yeager Airport will continue, as will its distribution to hundreds of professional offices in the Valley and each of the rooms of 20 area hotels.  

 

“Charleston Magazine provides something readers can’t find anywhere else: a very high-quality, full-color, photography-driven look at the greater Charleston area,” said Manahan.
